E-Commerce Solution Development Lead

The Role

TORQ is a growing consulting firm specializing in PIM/MDM and E-Commerce projects.
We are seeking experienced, ambitious, individuals looking for a challenging environment to use both their technical and business skills.
As the lead technical consultant, we expect you’ll have excellent client management and team management skills.  We also expect you have current or prior experience in software development, business analysis and project management.


Responsibilities

  • Client Management: Meet with clients regularly to ensure that technical solutions are meeting client expectations. Maintain relationships with clients serving as their primary regular contact with TORQ. Gain awareness of other initiatives TORQ can support clients with.
  • Project Management: Ensure projects are staying on time and budget.
  • Business Analysis: Understand business processes and how they can be mapped into technical solutions.
  • Technical Architecture: Collaborate with other leads and architects to design robust solutions that meet client requirements and meet technical standards.
  • Mentoring: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to juniors, and collaborate between teams to share learning.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Degree/Diploma in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, or;
    • Equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience in delivering software applications
  • 3+ years of experience leading development projects or teams

Required Skills

  • Writing and preparing Statements of Work, Requirements Documents, and Project Status Reports
  • Compenecy in software development and business systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, to communicate effectively with teammates, technical clients, and non-technical stakeholders

Bonus Points

  • Experience in E-Commerce or PIM/MDM
  • Experience with modern cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, etc)
  • A history of self-driven learning and improvement
  • Sales or client management experience
